When naming your new baby boy, new parents generally fall into one of two categories:
a) You want to name your newborn son after someone you know to honor them.
This generally is the name of your spouse (Jr, III, IV, etc.), your father/father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, close friends, someone that inspired you (like a teacher or a coach) or someone famous (George Washington).
b) You want to give your child a name you don’t associate with anyone.
This is when you realize how many people you, and possibly your partner, don’t like.
i.e. Your husband gives a baby name suggestion: David Christopher. You couldn’t possibly name your child David Christopher. Your horrible ex-boyfriend from high school was named David and your accounting professor was Mr. Christopher.
