Valentine’s Day Ideas for Your Child’s Class

Valentine’s Day is not just about giving your boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife a present these days. Everyone can get involved and show the people that are special in their lives that they care by giving a token gift on Valentine’s Day. This includes your children giving a special something to their school mates. Here are some pretty cool Valentine’s Day Ideas for Your Child’s Class that aren’t just those run of the mill perforated paper valentines.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Your Child’s Class

#1 Mini Pop-Its

Pop-Its are all the rage right now for a huge age range, which is why it is number one on this list. Mini Pop-Its are super affordable, take up a small amount of space, and not only provide joy, but help with nervousness for certain children. They also come in every color you can think of, so they will appeal to both boys and girls.

Mini Keychain Pop-its are great because kids can attach it to their backpacks or lunchboxes and provide extra fun during “boring” times of school without causing a disruption to anyone else.

Here are some mini pop-its on Amazon already prepped for Valentine’s Day if you don’t already have separate paper cards purchased:

Or you can get mini pop-it keychains on Amazon without Valentine’s Day packaging if you already have paper cards you would like to use:

If you don’t like the keychain idea, but like the idea of pop-its, you might like this pop-it wristband on Amazon:

The love for pop-its is practically universal, so you won’t go wrong if you get these for your child’s classroom!

#2 Slime (or Play-Doh!)

Now slime is only second on the list because I have this feeling that some parents/teachers may not want slime all over their house/classroom. Now that I have included that disclaimer (lol), kids absolutely love slime…whether your child is 3 or 13, they probably are easily entertained by slime.

Here is a 28 pack of Valen-“slime” hearts on Amazon perfect for your kid’s class:

If you are hesitant about buying slime, know that slime is fairly easy to get out of clothes (once you know how!) and I have a post on exactly how to get the slime out of your child’s clothes HERE.

And I am also including Play-Doh under this category because it appeals to a smaller audience (younger kids, maybe ages 3 to 7) but is wayyy less messy than slime (in my opinion). Here is a super cute set of Valentine’s “Doh” Cards on Amazon:

#3 Googly Eye Rings

These seem silly but for some reason they are a HIT with almost all children. I mean, who doesn’t love googly eyes? I remember someone bought a pack of googly eyes when I was in school and put them on all of their school related items, lol. Here is a fun, colorful pack of googly eye rings on Amazon:

#4 Colorful Scratch Cards

Art projects are always a hit with kids, and this one doesn’t require anything extra, you can get right down to your design the second you open your Valentine. You “scratch off” the portion of the heart you want to be colorful i.e. “I love Mom” or someone’s initials. You could even give the scratch card as a gift after you finish your design. I am pretty sentimental and love displaying my son’s artwork above my work computer or on the fridge. They are constant reminders of my amazing child. Here are some Valentine’s Day Scratch Cards on Amazon:

#5 “Shades”

A fun, non-messy way to celebrate Valentine’s Day is with some cool new “shades” in fun, vibrant colors. Kids love stuff like this because they can all “try them on” in class (while still being able to see) and look super “cool” in front of their other peers not in their specific class. Here is a 28 pack of “shades” in a ton of fun colors on Amazon:

Hopefully you got a few fun valentine’s day ideas for your child’s class in this post. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating Valentine’s Day!
